Fire Cement

13/02/2009

The high cost of gas and electricity has resulted in an increase in the installation and use of stoves and wood burners in domestic and commercial properties.

When installation takes place there is a requirement to seal joints, flues and grates by the use of a high temperature resistant cement/sealant.

Polyseam's FIRE CEMENT is designed to be easily applied and can withstand temperatures of up to 1250oC. It is abestos free and odourless.

The product is also ideally suited for use in the installation of central heating boilers where there is a requirement to seal around flues.

Polyseam can supply the product in your own brand to take advantage of this growing market. The following packaging options are available - tubs, pails, plastic cartridges and plastic flexi tubes.

Environmentally Friendly

04/11/2008

Finding ways of supporting "green" initiatives to save energy and resources and to minimising CO2 emissions and waste is something that all businesses and individuals are looking at, but it's not always easy to come up with an idea.

Well how about using aluminium foil sausages instead of plastic cartridges? Using a foil sauasge will result in reduced waste on site, e.g. 625 finished foils take up the same space as 25 cartridges and are much easier to recycle.

The production and filling of foil suasges uses less packaging and as a result less energy and resources thereby contributing to the protection of the environment.

Polyseam can supply a wide range of products in both 300ml and 600ml alumiium foil sauasges.
